Prophetic words are such a vital aspect of ministry to people on an emotional and spiritual level. It serves to edify, build, encourage, uplift, align, realign, guide, direct, correct, heal, deliver, strength, bring hope, and build faith.
Often times we may receive a prophetic word in hopes that it is about to come to pass at any moment, only to become disappointed and discouraged. Learning to understand that when a prophetic word is for now and when it is for later can avoid you becoming disappointed or discouraged.
When a authentic pure prophetic word is released it should breath life into your spirit man. It should bear witness and cause you to know that know that word was from the Lord. When that prophetic word is released, it is the Lord that is speaking directly over and to you of what is happening or what is to come. But, know that there is a process until you see the fulfillment of those prophetic promises come to pass in your life.
In essence, there is a standing, contending, travailing process, then there is the spiritual battles over the prophetic words and promises. There is going through the refiners fire to make room for to you carry the fulfillment of His word. There is fulfillment of destiny attached to the promises and the enemy knows this. Hence, the brutal and onslaught of battles that you will endure before seeing the fulfillment of His word over your life.
It is God's desire to see those words fulfilled, but also that you are fully prepared to handle the weight of the manifestation of His word and the demonstration of His power that comes with fulfillment. Staying in a place of continuing to seek His heart, focusing and fixating your gaze on Him, and letting Him saturate you with the aroma of His presence, mold, and shape you to be more in the likeness of Christ.
