The Rose of Sharon is mentioned in Song of Solomon 2:1-2,
"I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys. Like a lily among thorns is my darling among the young women."
The Rose of Sharon has a symbolic meaning to it that represents love, beauty and healing. It was used to describe King Solomon's love in the Book of Solomon. I sensed the Lord was showing me that the way King Solomon had love for his lover, is the way the Lord tenderly and deeply loves us. The expression King Solomon had for his lover reminded me of the love Christ has for us. The Rose of Sharon represents intimacy and glory between Christ and His bride. We as the body of Christ are His bride and His beloved.
I felt that this anointing oil that the Lord wanted me to make was for those to encounter Christ's love in a deeper more intimate way than they have ever known or experienced before. That they would encounter the overwhelming tender gentle love of the Lord that has no end. That He would pour His love into every part of the heart, even the parts of the heart that have never been touched by the agape love of God. That He would bring supernatural healing both in the soul and the body through the use of this anointing oil. That there would be wholeness of soul and body through those deep love encounters with the Lord. That walls and hardness of heart would melt by touch of His unending love. He is the lover of your soul, whom He is our beloved and we are His.
Song of Solomon 6:3 "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine."
